Ensure optimal performance of your windshield washer fluid during winter by following our maintenance guidelines, designed to prevent freezing and enhance customer satisfaction. Regular cleaning and refilling will keep your fluid fresh and effective throughout the season.

Subject: Windshield Washer Fluid Buckets

During the winter months two things happen with washer fluid:

1. Precipitation such as snow can get into the bucket diluting the washer fluid, creating the possibility of the fluid to freeze.

2. Methanol is what keeps fluid from freezing. Over time methanol will evaporate also creating the possibility of the fluid to freeze.

The product is manufactured to minus 25, as long as fresh product is in the bucket, freezing should not be a problem.

Whenever you see slush forming in your buckets you need to empty the bucket. We recommend you empty your buckets every 7 days allowing new fluid to flow into the bucket. Following this procedure will keep fresh product in the bucket, thus reducing problems and enhancing your customers experience.

Bulk Fluid Systems will clean all the buckets at time of delivery and replenish with fresh fluid. Delivery is roughly every 4-6 weeks. Mark your calendars when we deliver because you will have fresh fluid in your buckets, then set your cleaning schedule for every week thereafter until the next delivery.

If you miss your cleaning cycle the bucket will likely have slush or freeze up. If completely frozen you will need to shut off the valve to the bucket and bring the bucket inside to run under warm water and clean. Replace the bucket, ensure the line is secured tightly into the elbow and turn on the valve allowing new fluid to fill up the bucket. Consistently cleaning the washer fluid bucket will eliminate this difficult task.

Installation Instructions for Clean Shield USA Systems

Follow our detailed installation instructions to ensure proper setup of your system, covering everything from tank installation to wiring connections, and guaranteeing optimal performance and safety.

Tank Installation:

Install tanks similar to the Keep-Fill system.
Use a 3/8" filter before routing 3/8" tubing to the pump.
Install a 3/8" valve after the pump for testing and disconnecting lines.

Tubing and Vending Units:

Use a 3/8" T union after the pump to route tubing to vending units.
Route tubing down through the column to the vending unit.
Drill 1" to 2" holes in the column above the canopy and at the vending unit for tubing and wire accommodation.
Connect the 3/8" tubing into the valve in the vending unit.
Hang units on columns using #14 self-tapping metal screws.

Wiring:

Connect color-coded wires to components in the vending unit.
Run a separate wire to the flow meter to prevent burning it out.
Route all wires to the control box and label each bundle with the unit number.
Connect wires to the color-coded terminal block.
Route the Amit 3.0 device antenna out of the control box for a good signal (RSS of 10 or better).

Power Supply:

Route 110VAC in conduit from the AC supply to the control box and the pump (pump is NOT 24VDC).

Additional Tips:

An alternative is to store the Amit device in the vending unit to avoid going onto the roof to reset it.
Use brown and orange wires for connection in the block labeled CC.
Run additional red and green wires to the Amit device.
